help run down some info on this and what possible downsides there are, besides of course well-fed fish are harder to catch. this seems like a possibly good option, and right now is the time to do it this year.

visually sexing bass- long story short, anal pore is unreliable

practical field methods of sexing largemouth bass- i don’t like the method, but it’s a pretty scientific paper. maybe you can make heads or tails of a real way that doesn’t involve bassrape.
